FOREFATHERS
Information technology with all its applications and implications governs today's life in every aspect.
Computers are now part of everyone's life, and in practice they are present in all the professional and personal activities of an enormous portion of the inhabitants of the earth. Using a PC is not a strange thing and it seems an obvious action, but all this is possible because someone invented and built what is now part of daily life. This section wants to honor all those who, with their efforts, have contributed to making information technology what we see today.
There are three sections, one for the characters, one for the inventions (hardware or software) and one for the companies that have marked the history of information technology; sometimes names appear in the three sections that may be unknown to many, but that without their intervention the world would not be the one we know and live in.
This section will always be incomplete, but it wants to be a starting point for research and information...
The images used in this section are almost all released under a CreativeCommons license and are public, declaring the respective property for each one.
